This is a very personal cause for me. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was very young and I am so fortunate that she is a survivor! I can't bare the thought of what life would have been like without her. It brings tears to my eyes. My heart breaks to think about those who have lost their lives and those who have lost family members to such a horrible disease.
My great-aunt Lene is a recent breast cancer warrior and Vickie, a very close friend who I consider family, is also a survivor. It's because of these three women and all of the women and men who have been affected by breast cancer that I want to help in the fight!
It's my birthday wish that you will join me in the fight against breast cancer!! Please consider making a gift to help me meet and surpass my goal to raise $1,000.00 for this great cause! Together we can make a difference!

Wow! Impressive! Having run several marathons, I recommend 1) fully committed training over next 2 months; 2) focus more on simply completing the run (and less on your actual race time); and 3) find a way to actually enjoy the experience (which will stem from the training you put in up-front)! We're proud of you both! Peter
